About Me

Profile of a woman smiling in a garden, wearing a gray shirt and green earrings.

I’m a queer cis therapist located in the San Francisco Bay Area. As a former high school teacher and Returned Peace Corps Volunteer serving in Mozambique, my work has always centered around people, relationships, culture and identity, advocacy, care, and the stories that need telling. As a therapist, these are the values that guide my work.

My work is depth-oriented, relational, and psychodynamic. I value your multiplicity, aim to meet you where you are, and bring what’s unconscious into the conscious. No two sessions look alike. I frequently incorporate somatic and mindfulness practices, grounding techniques, parts work, guided imagery, and both a trauma-informed & social justice oriented approach into my therapy. I enjoy working with symbolism, archetypes, metaphor, art, myth, and dreams as I believe they grant us access to profound and vivid material that words just…can’t.

My intention is to create a mindful, collaborative, and affirming space, one in which everything you are and believe in is welcomed (there are no bad parts!).

What is depth Psychology?

Depth psychology explores the deeper layers of thoughts, feelings, and experiences that might be causing emotional or psychological struggles. Instead of just focusing on surface-level symptoms, depth-oriented psychotherapy looks at the root causes of distress to help people understand themselves more fully.

It involves exploring things like repressed memories, unresolved conflicts, and deeply held beliefs—often things we aren’t fully aware of but that still influence how we feel and act. By understanding how past experiences shape our current emotions and behaviors, this kind of therapy helps people grow, heal, and feel more fulfillment and agency in their lives.

What is Relational therapy?

Relational psychotherapy focuses on the importance of relationships in shaping who we are. It explores how your past and present relationships—like with family, friends, or partners—impact your thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. The idea is that many emotional struggles, like feeling disconnected, anxious, or stuck, can be linked to patterns in relationships that developed over time.

Your relationship with the therapist provides a safe space to explore these patterns, shift dynamics, and build healthier connections. The goal is to help you feel more confident, connected, and fulfilled in your relationships and within yourself.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • You might consider therapy if you’re feeling stuck, overwhelmed, or noticing patterns in your thoughts, emotions, or relationships that you’d like to understand or change. Therapy isn’t just for crisis — it’s a space for growth, clarity, and learning new ways to relate to yourself and others. If you’ve been wondering whether it could help, that curiosity itself is often a good sign it’s worth exploring.

  • Yes, I’m accepting new clients and invite you to reach out!

  • Individuals: $200

    Couples: $225

When possible, I offer sliding scale spots. If I’m unable to accommodate you, I will assist you in finding other options that feel like a good fit.

  • At this time, I do not take insurance. If your insurance covers out-of-network mental health services, I can provide you with a superbill for reimbursement.

  • Both! I offer in-person sessions on Mondays and Tuesdays, telehealth throughout the week. My office is located at 431 30th Street in Oakland, CA.

  • Sessions are at least 1x per week for 50 minutes. I ask clients to commit to meeting weekly, especially at the start of therapy. This commitment supports trust and rapport in our therapeutic relationship and progress towards your therapeutic goals.

  • It’s important for the continuity of therapy that you come to all sessions. Since your appointment time is reserved exclusively for you, there is a 48-hour notice cancellation policy. In other words, if you cancel within 48 hours of your scheduled session and are unable to reschedule, you will be charged for the session.

  • There’s no “right” thing to say — therapy is about starting where you are. We explore your thoughts, emotions, and experiences in a safe, nonjudgmental space. You might talk about what’s been weighing on you, patterns you’ve noticed, goals you want to work toward, or anything that feels important or particularly challenging. In session, I’ll deeply listen, ask thoughtful questions, reflect patterns I notice, and gently guide you toward greater understanding and connection with yourself.

  • Therapy is confidential, which means what you share stays between you and me. There are only a few exceptions required by law, such as concerns about your safety or someone else’s. As an AMFT, I work closely with a supervisor and may discuss our work in supervision.

  • The process works best when there’s a good fit between you and your therapist, and when you actively engage in the work between sessions. Like going to the gym, showing up is the first and very important step - but alone won’t lead to change. While change takes time, many people find therapy helps them gain insight, build new skills, and feel more grounded and empowered.
